Pavlovsk
It is the residence built for the future Russian Emperor Paul I, the son of Catherine the Great, and his wife, Mary Fyodorovna. Created in a relatively short time, the palace and park complex is the only suburban complex in Saint Petersburg with stylistic integrity. Paul I and his wife made efforts to make their house one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. In their residence they gathered a rich collection of paintings, porcelains, furniture.
After visiting the palace you can take a walk in the garden.
Pavlovsk is located 30 km from Saint Petersburg and the excursion lasts about 4 hours, it is recommended to combine this excursion with visit of the Catherine Palace in Pushkin. Two residences are visited in 6 hours.
